Caring Kitchen – Delray Beach

We are looking for an ongoing weekly commitment for these positions.

• Cook: Volunteers are needed to assist in preparing meals for lunch, homebound, and holiday meals. Follow daily menu, garnish, and arrange food trays; check the quality and freshness of ingredients. Comfortable operating kitchen equipment, maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and pans. No experience necessary, open to learning. Kitchen/restaurant experience a plus.
• Food Prep: Volunteers are needed on Fridays from 8:30 am to 10:30 am to help with chopping produce, making sandwiches, packing meals, and organizing donations and food distributions. Must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and repetitive movements. Knife skills a plus. Open to assist as needed in other program related tasks.

Delray Beach Food Pantry

• Volunteers are needed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to check-in clients on a computer from 10:30 am to 2:15 pm. Training provided.
• Volunteers needed to bag food and distribute the bags of food on Thursdays from 10:30 am to 2:15 pm. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• We are looking for an ongoing weekly commitment for these volunteer positions.

Mobile Food Pantry – Greenacres - Church in the Palms

• Volunteers are needed to distribute bags of food and fill-in when needed with computer intake on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• 3-6 month or more weekly commitment preferred.

Sorting Food and Packing Pantry Bags

Volunteers needed to help sort donated food and pack bags of food to distribute at our food pantries. Groups of 6 people maximum because of social distancing guidelines. This opportunity is for adults. High school freshmen through seniors may sign-up too if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Location is at our Lake Worth warehouse near I-95 and 10th Ave. N.
