Caring Kitchen – Delray Beach

• Cook: Responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This volunteer will work closely with Caring Kitchen Program staff and volunteers to ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet our quality standards. No experience necessary. Training will be provided to any volunteers interested in assisting with preparing meals. Volunteers are expected to adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that the kitchen operates in a safe and sanitary manner. Volunteer shift is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am for cooking meals on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Fridays. 
• Van Driver: Volunteers are needed to pick up food donations at various locations in Delray Beach using the Caring Kitchen program van. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Assist with weighing and sorting food donations, dropping off recyclables and delivering items to CROS Office in Lake Worth as needed. Must have a clean driving record. Volunteer shift is from 8:30 am to 11:00 am and days needed are Mondays and/or Thursdays.

Lake Worth Food Pantry

Volunteers needed to bag food on Wednesdays and Fridays  from 10:00 am to 2:15 pm. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

We are looking for an ongoing weekly commitment.

Mobile Food Pantry – Greenacres - Church in the Palms

• Volunteers are needed to distribute bags of food and fill-in when needed with computer intake on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• We are looking for an ongoing weekly commitment.

Sorting Food and Packing Pantry Bags

Volunteers needed to help sort donated food and pack bags of food to distribute at our food pantries. Groups of 6 people maximum because of social distancing guidelines. This opportunity is for adults. High school freshmen through seniors may sign-up too if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Location is at our Lake Worth warehouse near I-95 and 10th Ave. N.
