Gleaning is a biblical initiative that involves volunteers picking produce from farmers' fields that have been left from commercial harvesting methods. The food is distributed through the Food Recovery Program, operated by Village Baptist Church and the Community Food Alliance, to local agencies that work to feed the hungry in our community.  In 2009, volunteers of C.R.O.S. Ministries gleaned 172,789 lbs. of produce.

Volunteers and volunteer groups are needed to glean fields. Gleaning events are for the most part held on Saturday mornings, special arrangements will need to be made for other days.
